Wizz Air on Track for Quarterly Targets Despite Softer July Figures

Wizz Air (LON:WIZZ) announced a 6.8% rise in passengers carried to 6.3 million for July, as its occupancy rate slipped by one percentage point to 92.8%.

The low-cost carrier will require passenger growth to accelerate to 10.5% during August and September to hit the second-quarter consensus forecast of 19.6 million passengers.

Data on seat capacity from Cirium shows an 11% increase for August and a 7.5% rise for September, implying the airline is positioned to meet its quarterly passenger goals with an active August expected.
